A love of the outdoors is a theme that has run through Kate’s life. Early memories of helping her grandparents in their garden, a passion for adventurous travel and the excitement and freedom she felt developing her first owned garden have stayed with her.

Kate’s first career was in banking where she spent 10 years. However a growing passion for forward-thinking design and a desire to express greater creativity, aligned with her love for outdoor space prompted her to take a different direction. She retrained at the London College of Garden Design based at Kew Gardens. Graduating with distinction and praised for her clarity, design ambition and attention to detail she launched her design practice.

Central to Kate’s approach is that access to outdoor spaces positively influences our mental and physical wellbeing and nurtures our connection to the natural world. Designing gardens or landscapes to inspire and excite her clients is an exciting opportunity and privilege. Above all she hopes to create memorable and enduring spaces which have a lasting impact on her clients.

Kate is a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD) and her project ‘Lakeside Retreat’ is shortlisted for the 2017 SGD Awards.
