Chelsea Garden for Burma Skincare Initiative
We’re delighted to report that Planting Design Diploma Graduate Helen Olney has won our competition to design a garden for the Burma Skincare Initiative at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2024.
The garden tells the story of a global dermatological partnership which supports Burmese healthcare workers treating adults and children with terrible skin conditions.
Helen says: “I feel honoured to have the opportunity to work with such a fantastic charity as the Burma Skincare Initiative and to play a small part in highlighting the lived experience of skin disease, and, in particular, the challenges faced by people in the beautiful country of Burma.
I’m learning so much along the way and feel hugely privileged to be working alongside a fantastic team of specialists. The creation of the garden really is very much a team effort and like the garden itself, a story of partnership and friendship.”
We’re looking forward to sharing their journey over the coming months.
When you graduate from LCGD you become part of an alumni that has access to career support and one-offs like conferences and competitions.
