Building the future
We continue to build a strong future for LCGD with our professional colleagues from the landscape industry and so we are delighted to welcome Nina Baxter as a Director of the College and as the new course leader for our professional Planting Design Diploma.
Nina is an accomplished plantswoman and has been widely recognised for her garden and planting designs. She has been involved with the Planting Design Diploma for some years and from January 2024 will lead the course with the continuing support of Andrew Fisher Tomlin who becomes our Director of Environmental Design.
Nina has a long career in garden design. After nurturing a life-long love of horticulture, she gained professional qualifications in Horticulture, Plantsmanship and Garden Design from the Royal Horticultural Society and the English Gardening School and in 2004 launched Nina Baxter Garden Design together with her husband Matthew.
As well as being a member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, Nina is now an RHS Show Judge and selects show gardens for the RHS flagship flower shows.
