LCGD Graduates shine at the SGLD Awards Ceremony

Last Friday, the Society of Garden + Landscape Designers Awards Ceremony took place at the Landmark London, and we are delighted that several of our graduates were among the winners.

We are thrilled to congratulate LCGD graduate Tabitha Rigden, who won the New Designer Landscapes & Gardens award, sponsored by Hillier Nurseries, for her project Hestia Garden at The Plough Shiplake. The Judges said: “A well-designed and considered garden that has made great use of local views, planting and materials to create an impressive public space. A perfect example of how creative thinking and investment has transformed a grey space into a welcoming destination for visitors.”

LCGD graduate Colm Joseph was awarded the People’s Choice Award with his Suffolk Walled Garden, and two of our most recent graduates were also recognised with awards.

For the Student Design Domestic category, Bronte Seller won for Banklands, a design that brings together sustainability and biodiversity in a semi-subterranean home in the Lake District.

For the Student Design Public Realm category, Kate Hyslop was recognised for her work on Kent Hall, a Grade II-listed Jacobean residence, where she created a design that balances history and sustainability.

Congratulations to our graduates on their achievements. You can view all the winners on the SGLD website.
