Chris Reynolds
Director and Principal Designer of Bridgeman Kent Ltd, Chris Reynolds believes that gardens are as important as the family living room or kitchen. He believes that they are a necessity. A space to be enjoyed and experienced irrespective of the time of year (or weather), be that to socialise, learn, relax or play.
Unsurprisingly, Chris’ passion lies in his desire to design practical, purposeful and beautiful spaces that drive the entire family outdoors, reconnecting people with each other and nature.
Biography:
With an initial career in public service, Chris has spent over a decade of his life supporting victims of crime. As well as being a front-line Police Officer he spent many years working in local government managing specialist services for victims of crime, antisocial behaviour and domestic abuse. He obtained national recognition for his work in the homelessness sector, establishing robust pathways for rough sleepers into housing and employment and worked tirelessly with the charity sector to improve pathways for victims of domestic abuse through the criminal justice system.
After deciding to take the plunge to change career, Chris pursued diplomas and post-grad diplomas in garden design from Westminster University, completed various RHS accreditations and is a London College of Garden Design (LCGD) graduate.
Chris is now fully immersed in his role as a garden designer at Bridgeman Kent, crafting purposeful, practical and aesthetically captivating spaces. With an unwavering commitment to both beauty and functionality, Chris is creating stunning landscapes that reflect his dedication to the healing and invigorating power of the natural world.

The Garden was also profiled on BBC Gardners World.
Our St Albans modern rural garden is not only contemporary in its design, but purposeful in its use of space.
A stylish pergola and extended raised terrace with integrated electric kitchen, heating and mood lighting makes this a perfect entertaining space, whatever the weather.
With a contemporary sunken fire-pit, heavily planted gravel terrace and cedar clad hot tub & sauna, this garden meets the functional needs of its busy family without compromising the surrounding ‘area of outstanding natural beauty.’
Our Bedfordshire new build garden commenced construction in August 2024 and was designed to reduce water wastage.
Two sunken rain gardens were incorporated into the space to manage rainwater run-off from hard surfaces; planting attractive, low maintenance and wildlife-friendly plants without the need for expensive irrigation systems.
