James is a garden designer and plant expert whose practice works on a wide range of projects both in the UK and internationally. He supports students on both our Diploma programmes and from September 2025 will be the Course Leader for the Garden Design Diploma.
Paul Hensey
Construction Design Certificate
Course Leader
Paul is passionate about hard landscaping and the construction detailing for gardens and landscapes. Initially trained as an Industrial Design Engineer, before redirecting his career towards Garden Design, he has authored several books on detailing and is the creator of a unique online resource for landscape construction.
Nina Baxter
Planting Design Diploma
Course Leader
Nina Baxter is an accomplished garden designer, plantswoman and horticulturist and has been widely recognised for her planting designs. She has been involved with the College for many years and became Director and Course Leader for the Planting Design Diploma in July 2023.
